Delta County Emergency Management and the Colorado Department of Agriculture invite you to a great training opportunity in Delta April 16th – April 17th for MGT-447, Managing Food Emergencies: Strategies for a Community response.  

The course will be instructed by a team of experts from Louisiana State University (LSU) National Center for Biomedical Research and Training (NCBRT) and is a great opportunity for public health, healthcare, agriculture producers, veterinarians, lab technicians, food industry representatives, emergency managers, city/town managers, PIOs, elected officials, first responders and more to learn how jurisdictions can work together to effectively respond to large food emergencies.  The course encourages multidisciplinary, and multi agency planning and coordination utilizing ICS and NIMS to effectively manage food emergencies.  

This course is provided at no-cost by LSU via FEMA and the minimum enrollment is 24 with a max of 40 students.  Please share with your staff and distribution lists so we can be sure to meet the minimum registration requirement!
