Human Trafficking Basic Training

A free training for first responders, health care providers, public
health, and community partners
Wednesday|November 12th|10am-12pm
Alamosa County Government Building A-B
8900 Independence Way, Alamosa
Conference Room
Join the Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking in collaboration with SLV RETAC for a
training on how human trafficking is affecting communities across southern Colorado.
Together, we’ll examine the root causes of trafficking—including systemic inequities, discrimination,
and complex trauma—and how these factors intersect with people’s lived experiences and identities.
This session will also explore how unmet needs can increase vulnerability to exploitation, and the
critical role first responders, health professionals, service providers, and advocates can play in
identifying and responding to trafficking with a trauma-informed, person-centered approach.
