Hello COPPER Steering Committee Members-
Please see the attached meeting minutes for our January Meeting and the agenda for our meeting on February 28.
While working on the COPPER application, we noted that many of the items on the resource page have not been reviewed in several years. We would like to ask for your assistance in reviewing this page and identifying resource that may be out of date prior to our next meeting.
Lastly, a new study has been published showing the impact of pediatric readiness in the ED.
“A new, landmark study has found that emergency departments (EDs) being well-prepared to care for their pediatric patients – also known as being “pediatric ready” – resulted in 60-76 percent lower short-term mortality and 41-66 percent lower long-term mortality.”
