CISA Online Training Opportunity: Surveillance Detection Principles Course (Basecamp Hosts)

We wanted to share a no-cost, virtual training opportunity from CISA’s Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP) that may be of interest to Colorado emergency management partners and regional stakeholders.
This four-hour Virtual Instructor-Led Training supports national preparedness efforts tied to large-scale events and celebrations, including those associated with the FIFA World Cup 2026 and America250. While Colorado is not hosting World Cup matches, the course content is highly applicable to special events, critical facilities, public venues, and routine security planning across the state.
The training provides foundational knowledge on:
- Hostile operations and threat indicators
- Detecting hostile surveillance
- Vulnerability assessments
- Surveillance red zones and positions
- Elements of a surveillance detection plan
Participants will gain practical, introductory skills to recognize hostile surveillance activities and plan appropriate mitigation and response actions relevant to local events and facilities.
**Note: Each delivery will only be open to the first 350 registrants. **
